The ideal candidate has experience supporting children with speech and language disorders and is comfortable using AAC devices and communication software, including TouchChat. Duties Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans for children with speech, language, and communication disorders. Support therapy sessions by preparing materials, setting up equipment, and facilitating engaging activities tailored to child language development and early intervention strategies. Monitor and document children's progress during therapy sessions, maintaining detailed records aligned with IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals and objectives. Collaborate with educators, parents, and caregivers to reinforce therapy goals across various settings such as schools or telehealth platforms. Help create a supportive environment for children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet individual needs based on physiology and anatomy knowledge. Participate in training sessions on medical terminology, physiology, and pediatric development to enhance your understanding of speech-language pathology principles. Support therapy using PROMPT techniques as directed by the supervising SLP. Assist clients using AAC devices and communication software, including TouchChat. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational, clinical, or early intervention settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students with disabilities and those requiring specialized support. Knowledge of child language development, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech-language pathology. Experience in acute care environments or school-based settings is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including speech-language pathologists, educators, and families. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapy delivery methods is a plus. A genuine passion for working with pediatric populations and supporting their communication growth.
