Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in an engaging elementary school environment as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This full-time, contract role offers you the chance to work closely with young learners, making a genuine impact on their communication growth while collaborating with a supportive educational team. Your week will consist of 35 hours within a single, well-resourced building. The schedule runs from 8:45 AM to 3:45 PM, providing predictability and work-life balance. The position begins as soon as possible and continues through June 11, 2027, allowing you to build meaningful connections and grow professionally within the school community. Ideal candidates bring direct experience in a school setting and are comfortable managing day-to-day responsibilities of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. Upfront licenses are highly valued and credentialed professionals will receive interview priority. What we're looking for: Active SLPA license in Connecticut Previous school-based experience working with children Ability to provide effective speech-language support under the supervision of an SLP Completion of district-required fingerprinting and background check Readiness to interview via Zoom Commitment to a full-time schedule throughout the academic year Key responsibilities include: Assisting in the delivery of speech-language services to students Implementing therapy activities and individualized student plans Collaborating with teachers, school staff, and supervising SLP Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records Supporting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere Imagine making a positive difference each day while enjoying stability and opportunities for growth.
