Full Benefits Package Position Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students within the Manatee County School District . This is a full‑time, school‑based contract position offering weekly pay and full benefits . The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to help students achieve their communication and academic goals. Key Responsibilities Provide speech and language therapy services to students as directed by the supervising Speech‑Language Pathologist Implement treatment plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Assist with speech, language, and communication activities in individual and group settings Collect data and document student progress toward goals Support students with articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication needs Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and support teams Maintain accurate therapy notes and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines Participate in team meetings, including IEP meetings when requested Adhere to school district policies and professional ethical standards Requirements (Florida - School‑Based SLPA) Active Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant registration/license in the State of Florida Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field, or completion of an approved SLPA program Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) Knowledge of school‑based therapy practices and IEP processes preferred Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities and ages Must pass Florida Department of Education background screening and fingerprinting Compliance with all Manatee County School District onboarding requirements Benefits Weekly Pay Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Options Paid Time Off / Holidays Professional Support and Supervision School‑Year Schedule (no weekends) Why Join Us?
