Job Description

Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a meaningful opportunity supporting students' communication growth in a welcoming school environment near Fort Myers, FL. This contract position seeks a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) who will work with a diverse caseload, collaborating closely with school staff and providing direct services to students. Your week will be balanced across two campuses: Hector A Cafferata Jr K-8 School and Riverdale High School, spending one day at each location for a part-time schedule. With a caseload of 50-55 students, your expertise will play a crucial role in fostering students' speech and language development.
Qualifications:
Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license Prior experience supporting speech-language services in a school setting preferred Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple locations Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, students, and families Compliance with credentialing requirements, including fingerprint clearance or JLA badge process
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct treatment and support to students under the supervision of an SLP Collaborate with school staff to implement IEP goals and adjust therapy techniques as needed Accurately document and track student progress Rotate between two schools (one day each), serving K-8 and high school students Provide input and feedback during team meetings as needed This is an on-site-only contract, offering a unique chance to make an immediate impact throughout the remainder of the school year and into the next.
