Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based environment supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), with opportunities to serve multiple schools across a vibrant county. This contract position requires flexibility and a passion for helping young learners achieve their communication goals while traveling throughout the region as needed. Preferred candidates have experience in educational settings and a commitment to delivering high-quality support under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Your work will directly impact student success, collaborating closely with educators and other specialists to effect positive change.
Qualifications:
Active Florida SLPA license required Experience in school-based or pediatric services preferred Ability and willingness to travel throughout the county to multiple school sites Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Reliable transportation to navigate between locations Adaptable, organized, and able to manage a flexible schedule
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language interventions for students in K-12 settings under the supervision of a licensed SLP Assist with assessments, therapy sessions, and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) Document student progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with teachers, families, and other educational staff to support student growth Participate in team meetings across assigned schools and contribute to comprehensive student care Travel between assigned schools as scheduled Enjoy the variety of working across multiple campuses, the fulfillment of contributing to student achievement, and the professional growth that comes from serving a diverse school population in an engaging county-wide assignment.
