64 per hour based on experience and higher education. This position will alternate between Rutland and Fitchburg locations. The schedule is Monday-Friday day time hours. $1,000 sign-on bonus! Our classroom structure is designed to match students' needs. Through an interdisciplinary approach, an individual plan is designed for each student. Our school is prepared to meet the academic requirements of local educational agencies, as well as other states where our clients are from. Our curriculum is aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and coordinated through a collaborative working relationship with referring school districts. Flexibility in academic programming and creativity to meet students' needs is the strength of our organization. As the Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) you will: Implement goals and objectives outlined in the Individual Education Program (IEP) under the direction of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). Demonstrate the ability to structure the classroom physical and social environments so that every interaction and activity within the treatment program promotes positive goal-directed responses and/or social interactions from the student and facilitates skill acquisition. Assist the SLP with speech, language, and hearing screenings without clinical interpretation, assessment of students, and documentation of student performance. Provide information to team members for students who have communication and/or swallowing disorders, including programming and providing instruction in the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices.
