Job Description
Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students near Quincy, MA. Beginning ASAP through the end of the school year, with the possibility of continuing into Extended School Year (ESY), this role centers on providing compensatory speech-language pathology services. Your expertise will make a direct impact by helping students reach their communication goals in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality compensatory speech-language services to an elementary caseload. Conduct assessments, develop individualized therapy plans, and document progress. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach. Manage a schedule of 8:00 am to 3:45 pm, with a 20-minute lunch break. Travel between two schools located 15 minutes apart to efficiently serve all assigned students. Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and consultation as needed.Desired Skills and Experience:
Current or eligibility for certification as an SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA. Experience in school and/or healthcare settings, with pediatric populations preferred. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive independently and collaboratively within a school environment. Prior exposure to delivering services in educational settings and working with special education teams is highly valued. Flexibility to adapt to changing student needs and schedules.
