Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in elementary and preschool settings as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within a school-based environment. This part-time, contract position offers 21 hours per week, providing valuable services to students in grades 2 through 5, with occasional support for preschoolers. The assignment runs from August 24, 2026, through June 17, 2027, with a structured schedule of three onsite days each week, Monday through Friday, near the Salem, NH area.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current and active SLPA licensure in New Hampshire Proven experience working in school settings with relevant age groups Comfort working with 2nd-5th grade caseloads, as well as preschool students when needed Familiarity with ABA self-contained programs preferred Ability to adapt to various student needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Required to complete district fingerprinting prior to onboarding
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services to assigned students in accordance with IEP goals Work collaboratively with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists and special education teams to implement therapy plans Maintain detailed documentation on student progress and session activities Support students within both general education and self-contained ABA classrooms to maximize communication and language growth Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing team discussions as appropriate Flexibly provide services to preschool students as scheduled
