Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students in a vibrant school-based setting near Yukon, OK. This position offers a flexible, part-time schedule of 2-3 days per week, allowing you to balance meaningful work with your other commitments. Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Associate's degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program Current state licensure or eligibility as an SLPA Previous experience in a school environment strongly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with speech-language pathologists, teachers, parents, and students Compassion, patience, and dedication to helping children succeed
What You'll Do:
Deliver speech-language therapy services under the direct supervision of a licensed SLP Support students individually or in small groups according to prescribed therapy plans Assist in developing, implementing, and documenting therapy sessions Collaborate with staff members and participate in team meetings as needed Monitor and track student progress towards therapy goals Help maintain organized and confidential records in compliance with school and regulatory standards Adapt therapeutic activities creatively to fit the unique needs of each student Perform other supportive duties as directed by the supervising
