Job Description

Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into an engaging school-based environment as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting students from kindergarten through high school. This contract role starts in the last week of August and continues through the first or second week of June, covering approximately 185 school days. You'll work full-time, averaging 40 hours per week, across one or multiple school sites (to be determined), helping a caseload of about 60 students.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid SLPA license or certification required Experience in school settings or with K-12 students preferred Ability to adapt services to a diverse student population Strong organizational and communication skills Passion for helping students reach their communication goals Willingness to collaborate with supervising SLPs and multidisciplinary teams
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed SLP Support individualized education plans (IEPs) and document student progress Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student success Prepare and organize materials for therapy sessions Assist in screening and evaluation procedures as directed Travel between assigned school buildings as needed This assignment offers the rewarding opportunity to help students develop essential communication skills in a supportive educational environment.
