Job Description We are seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant who is passionate about working with children and families in a dynamic, supportive, and collaborative environment. Our Speech-Language Pathology team works closely with our multidisciplinary team to evaluate, treat, and support children with a wide range of communication needs, including speech sound disorders, language delays, social communication differences, AAC needs, and feeding-related concerns (as applicable). The ideal candidate brings creativity, warmth, and enthusiasm into sessions, using play-based, child-led, and evidence-based approaches to help children build meaningful communication skills. Responsibilities Implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each child's goals and interests Collaborate with OTs, COTAs, and other disciplines to support shared clients Provide therapy using play-based, strengths-based, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches Document daily treatment sessions, evaluations, and progress reports accurately and timely Communicate progress and recommendations clearly with families and caregivers Maintain accurate and compliant documentation within the clinic's EMR system Set up treatment sessions and sanitize equipment after use Participate in team meetings, collaboration, and ongoing professional development Stay current with best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology Qualifications Current Rhode Island SLPA license (or eligibility for licensure) Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited SLPA program New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply Experience or strong interest in pediatric speech and language therapy Familiarity with a variety of pediatric diagnoses and communication profiles Knowledge of evidence-based and play-based intervention approaches Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills Excellent documentation and organizational skills Ability to work independently while thriving in a team-based environment CPR certification or willingness to obtain Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a physically active pediatric setting Ability to treat children on the floor, as needed Conditions of Employment Must be eligible to work in the United States Must be proficient in written and spoken English Selected applicant will be subject to a background check Must maintain valid SLPA licensure in Rhode Island Must be CPR certified Must hold individual malpractice insurance Must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and clinic policies related to pediatric therapy Hours This is a full-time, in-person position . Weekday availability is required, with some flexibility based on clinic and client needs.
