Job Description
Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Make a positive impact on young learners by supporting elementary students' communication development in a part-time contract position. This rewarding opportunity centers around providing dedicated speech and language support in a K-5 environment. You'll work closely with students, educators, and families, helping children gain confidence and vital skills for academic achievement and personal growth.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Active South Carolina SLP or SLPA license required Valid SLP educator certificate issued by the state of South Carolina Experience working in school settings—elementary/primary school experience is strongly preferred Familiarity with IEP documentation, progress monitoring, and individualized treatment planning Excellent communication and collaboration abilities High level of empathy, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young childrenKey Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students (Grades K-5) in accordance with IEP goals Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to integrate therapy into daily routines Assist in developing and updating students' communication goals, maintaining thorough records and documentation Regularly communicate with families and caregivers regarding progress and strategies for support at home Employ engaging, evidence-based interventions tailored to each student's individual needsPerks and Benefits:
