Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering high-quality therapy services tailored to children with diverse needs. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help foster meaningful progress in speech and language development, especially for children with disabilities or language disorders. Responsibilities Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized speech therapy plans aligned with IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals. Support children with speech and language disorders by engaging them in evidence-based therapeutic activities designed to improve communication skills. Help monitor and document client progress during therapy sessions, ensuring accurate record-keeping for ongoing assessment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including educators, therapists, and families—to ensure cohesive care strategies that promote child development. Participate in early intervention programs and provide support for children with diverse disabilities across various settings. Utilize your knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively support therapy goals. Contribute to telehealth sessions by assisting with virtual therapy delivery and engaging children remotely when needed. Experience Previous experience working with children in pediatric or school environments is highly preferred. Acute care experience or familiarity with medical settings is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Demonstrated understanding of speech-language pathology principles, including language disorders support and speech disorder interventions. Experience working with students with disabilities or those requiring early intervention services is advantageous. Bilingual skills are a valuable asset for supporting diverse populations of children and families. Strong communication skills are essential for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Knowledge of child language development stages and experience implementing speech-language therapy plans will help ensure success in this role.
