Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in elementary and middle schools as a contract Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This full-time assignment places you in a collaborative school environment where you'll make a meaningful impact by helping children improve their communication skills. With openings available for several SLPAs, you'll join a dynamic team focused on fostering student growth in a vibrant academic setting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or equivalent required Valid SLPA certification for the state of Texas Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and varying caseloads Organized, self-motivated, and eager to collaborate with supervising SLPs and school staff
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP Support individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in elementary and middle school Assist with developing materials and activities tailored to student goals Document student progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success Participate in regular staff meetings and professional development opportunities This contract position offers the chance to further your skills while positively affecting the lives of students across multiple campuses.
