Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to support speech therapy services in an outpatient clinical setting. The ideal candidate will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement therapy plans, assist with assessments, and provide support to Autistic children with communication and language disorders. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pediatric patients while gaining valuable experience in the field of speech-language pathology. Duties Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy sessions tailored to individual student needs. Support Autistic children with speech, language, and communication challenges through engaging activities aligned with therapy goals. Help implement HEP and monitor progress under supervision. Prepare therapy materials and assist in documenting patient progress and session notes accurately. Support intervention programs by working directly with children from infancy to high school age. Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and consistent communication. Maintain a clean and safe environment conducive to effective therapy sessions. Stay informed on current best practices in pediatrics, physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and speech therapy techniques. Qualifications Prior experience working with children, students, or in pediatric healthcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and speech therapy principles is essential. Experience with acute care or school-based environments is a plus. Familiarity with early intervention programs and HEP is desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting children's developmental needs. Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate documentation. Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant is required or pending certification as per state regulations. $21.00 - $45.00 per hour
