Our team consists of experienced professionals in education and therapy, committed to delivering high-quality services to Texas K-12 school districts. - We are seeking a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant in order to implement therapy plans, provide direct services to students, and assist with documentation and classroom integration, under the supervision of an SLP.
Duties:
Implementation of Therapy Plans :
Assist in the implementation of treatment and intervention strategies designed by the supervising SLP.Direct Therapy :
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students, either individually or in groups, under the guidance and supervision of an SLP.Data Collection :
Collect and document data on student performance during therapy sessions for review and analysis by the supervising SLP.
Preparation of Materials :
Prepare and organize instructional materials and activities for therapy sessions.Record Keeping :
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, student progress, and other relevant documentation.Collaboration :
Work collaboratively with teachers, other school staff, and parents to support the implementation of students' speech and language goals.Communication :
Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP regarding student progress, concerns, and therapy modifications.Classroom Support :
Assist with integrating speech and language strategies into the classroom setting and provide support to students within their educational environment. Overall, SLP-As play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness of speech and language services within a school setting, ensuring that students receive the support they need to improve their communication skills. They work closely with the supervising SLP to deliver consistent and high-quality services.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Texas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (TDLR)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Hours:
- We are looking for part-time and full-time applicants to fill positions in schools located within the northeast area of San Antonio.
