Category Schools - SLPA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic educational setting near Universal City, TX. With four full-time contract roles available, this position is perfect for passionate professionals eager to make a difference in students' communication skills. This role specifically requires bilingual proficiency, allowing you to support a diverse population and foster language development in both English and an additional language.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid SLPA license or certification in accordance with state requirements Previous experience working with children in a school-based environment preferred Bilingual fluency (English and one other language) is required Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary educational team Adaptability and resourcefulness in fast-paced settings
Key Responsibilities:
Implement therapeutic activities and programs as directed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Support students' communication needs in both group and one-on-one settings Assist in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of an SLP Document student progress and maintain accurate records Engage with families, teachers, and support staff to ensure continuity of care Foster an environment that encourages students' personal and academic growth You'll thrive here if you are committed to supporting students' success while applying your language skills to bridge gaps in communication.
