We are building a team of dedicated professionals for our Weslaco clinic and are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join us. The Role:
We are seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide skilled speech therapy intervention in our comprehensive outpatient facility. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in implementing evidence-based practice (EBP) treatment plans to help clients of all ages, with a focus on pediatric and early intervention populations, achieve their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement treatment programs as developed by the supervising SLP, utilizing evidence-based skilled interventions. Conduct or participate in client screenings as trained and directed by the SLP. Provide clients and families with effective carry-over activities for home practice. Accurately collect and document data on client performance and progress. Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical records in accordance with regulations. Prepare and organize clinical materials and activities for treatment sessions. Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and professionals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Open to new graduates! We are happy to support candidates with deficiency plans to meet licensure requirements. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to speech and swallowing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and families. Ability to work independently with guidance and as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience working with children or in outpatient settings is preferred. Knowledge of pediatrics and early intervention practices is highly beneficial. Ready to Make a Difference?
