SPD Technician II - Full-time/Nights

Job Summary:
This position is accountable for cleaning, inspecting, assembly, high-level disinfection, and/or sterilization of all instrumentation, and/or medical devices, and flexible endoscopes for the hospital. Responsible for accurately entering data into an instrument tracking system. Follows departmental policies, processes, and regulatory requirements. May assume lead role.
Qualifications:
Education High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required) Licenses and Certifications CRCST
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician
  • HSPA
  • Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (required) Or CBSPDT
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
  • Certified Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (required) Or CSPDT
  • Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
  • CBSPD
  • Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution (required) And Work Experience Minimum two (2) years Sterile processing experience.
(preferred) Skills and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and knowledge of instrumentation and medical devices. Computer Skills Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
