Job Description
Title:
Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST)Location:
- Manhattan, KS
Job Type:
- Permanent | Full-Time | Direct Hire
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday | 8- or 10-Hour Day Shifts | 40 Hours/Week
Salary:
- $21.
- Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and equipment.
- Ensure instrument trays are complete, accurate, and available for scheduled procedures.
- Operate and monitor sterilization equipment following established protocols.
- Maintain compliance with infection prevention, sterilization, and safety standards.
- Perform quality checks on surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain accurate sterilization and inventory records.
- Collaborate with Operating Room staff to support surgical schedules.
- Assist in inventory management, stocking, and supply organization.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient sterile processing environment.
- Support both Sterile Processing and Operating Room needs as required. ### Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification.
- Previous Sterile Processing/Instrument Technician experience.
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing workflows, instrumentation, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. Preferred
- Experience in a surgical hospital or ambulatory surgery center.
- Experience processing orthopedic and general surgical instruments.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. ### Work Environment
- Monday through Friday schedule.
- No weekend shifts.
- No holiday shifts (closed on major holidays).
- No on-call responsibilities.
- Supports 6 Operating Rooms and 3 Endoscopy Suites.
- Approximately 20 surgical cases per day, including adult and pediatric procedures.
- Heavy orthopedic case volume, including total joint replacements and sports medicine.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly pay: $21.11-$31.00/hour, based on experience.
