Sterile Processing Tech - Hospital

Sterile Processing Technician Job - Hospital Contract in Baltimore, Maryland 21201Experienced Sterile Processing Technician needed for a 16-week hospital contract in downtown Baltimore, MD. Join a fast-paced acute care team and use your decontamination, sterilization, and scope processing expertise to support safe patient care in one of the area's leading medical communities.

                              • Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Technician experience required
                              • Previous hospital experience required
                              • Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
                              • Trauma Level I and Level II experience required
                              • Current CBSPD certification or
                              IAHCSMM/HSPA

                              certification required

                              • Strong knowledge of central sterile processing, decontamination, sterilization, and scope processing workflows
                              • Experience with steam sterilizers, washer disinfectors, low-temperature sterilization systems, Medivator scope processing, Scope Buddy, and cart washers preferred
                              • Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduledResponsibilities
                              • Perform primary decontamination duties in accordance with departmental, hospital, and regulatory standards
                              • Clean, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment
                              • Process scopes and specialty equipment using appropriate systems and techniques
                              • Operate sterilization and decontamination equipment safely and effectively
                              • Maintain accurate documentation for instrument tracking, sterilization loads, and quality assurance
                              • Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, sterile processing protocols, and patient safety requirements
                              • Collaborate with perioperative, OR, and clinical teams to support efficient patient care
                              • Float within the sterile processing department to support sterilization operations as neededWhy for This Baltimore Healthcare Job?
