STERILE PROCESSING CLINICAL DUTIES

Prepares instrumentation and equipment for sterile processing. Verifies the sterilization process. Decontaminates and reprocesses all reusable equipment and instrumentation. Checks equipment for cleanliness, functional use; inventories and documents the quantity of each instrument per tray/container and wraps trays and product for sterilization in accordance with established policies and procedures. Performs required biological and Bowie-Dick tests on a daily basis and records corresponding results. Records autoclave load contents and required statistics in a complete and accurate manner. Prepares case carts for the operating room based surgical needs and supplies. •Work Schedule • 11pm-730am Work Experience Education High School Diploma or GED (Required) Vocational / Technical Degree (Preferred) Certification / Licensure / Registration Sterile Processing Technician Certification (Required)
