Category Nursing - Sterile Processing Tech Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting patient safety and care as a Central Sterile Processing Technician. This contract opportunity seeks an experienced professional with a strong background in sterile processing and a dedication to upholding the highest standards in infection control. You'll join a team responsible for preparing and delivering sterile products and instruments across all healthcare departments.
Available shifts:
Two positions: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm One position: 11:00 pm - 7:30 am
Qualifications:
At least 5-7 years of experience in sterile processing or a similar nursing role Current Sterile Processing Technician certification (mandatory) Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Exceptional communication, reliability, and attendance records Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to follow directives attentively Willingness to undergo and benefit from additional facility training
Key Responsibilities:
Clean, disinfect, assemble, and sterilize all surgical instruments and trays according to established protocols Ensure the correct distribution of sterile instruments to healthcare teams Adhere strictly to infection prevention guidelines and equipment maintenance procedures Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of all sterile processing activities Collaborate with clinical staff to respond efficiently to urgent and routine requests
