Summary:
This position coordinates daily activities between the Operating Room and Central Sterile Services to facilitate efficient case flow.Responsibilities:
1. Performs inventory replacement procedures. 2. Ensures continuity and quality of services by providing support services in the O.R. suite. 3. Meets with Operating Room staff and surgeons as needed to discuss SPD needs. 4. Communicates with SPD staff prior to cases to ascertain specific instrument and supply needs and ensures these items are available. 5. Responds to problem calls from in the OR and resolve issues in an expeditious manner. 6. Ensures delivery of sterilized instrumentation to the OR area as needed. 7. Serve as a liaison with the Instrument Coordinator to ensure instruments are maintained/repaired as needed and available for cases. 8. Ensures all instruments are properly arranged in instrument trays and have no broken insulation or broken operational parts. 9. Verifies that required instrumentation has been sterilized and is available for next-day, call or weekend cases. 10. Completes documentation as required for inventory, equipment requests, instrument sets, etc. 11. Consistently conveys that customers are the highest priority and communicates in a manner that promotes and sustains customer satisfaction and encourages others to do the same. 12. Responsible for service level data collection.Other Information Other information:
