We are actively recruiting for an open position of full-time Sterile Processor. The primary location for this position is our Kenwood ASC; however, travel to our Eastgate ASC may be occassionally required to meet staffing demands.Responsibilities:
SUMMARY:
Responsible for assisting the operating room staff in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established federal, state and accreditation standards and facility policies and procedures. Responsible for position decontamination, sterile processing, instrument care and handling documentation and record keeping related to those activities. Serves as support personnel assisting providers and other personnel as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Antipates the need for equipment and supplies Selects equipment and supplies in an organized, cost effective and timely manner Assures all equipment is functioning before use and removes any malfunctioning equipment Demonstrates skill in appropriate use of instruments and equipment Cleans and restocks anesthesia supplies as assigned Assists with OR turnover and preparation of sterile supplies Assists with preoperative patient preparation and postoperative patient discharge Transports patients to and from and within the facility Keeps surgical suite clean, tidy, free of soiled equipment and supplies and properly stocked Assures emergency equipment and supplies are available at all times Operates mechanical, electrical and air-powered equipment according to manufacturer's instructionsQualifications:
Must be flexible with regards to shift (as hours may vary and are dictated by needs). Graduation from an accredited high school or GED 3 to 5 years' experience preferred Dependable transportation required to travel to other offices as requiredCompany Benefits:
