Dental Assistant in Oral Surgery Office (Full-Time) Scottsdale Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, PLLC
STARTING PAY DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Are you looking for a career that is both rewarding and challenging? We are looking for a dental assistant that is interested in working in a high quality oral surgery office with two oral surgeons. We have two locations, with our main location in North Scottsdale, and spend some days during the week in our satellite office in North Phoenix. You will be required to work at both locations. We are looking for an assistant that is eager to learn, hard-working, a self-starter, and a team player. Experience in oral surgery is preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
Setting up and preparing operatories Clean, disinfect, and sterilize all equipment and instruments according to OSHA, JCAHO, and manufacture standards and instructions Chairside assist, ensuring that everything needed is available Assisting with IV sedation Provide care to patients in a knowledgeable, friendly, caring, and up-beat manner Adhere to HIPAA standards Take impressions, pour up models, or be able to correctly use an intraoral scanner Help keep office and surgery suites adequately stocked with materials needed Correctly send out prescriptions for patients according to doctors instructions Communicate clearly with front office staff to develop a friendly and professional relationship within the office Perform collateral and other duties that may be required to ensure quality care of patients such as simple receptionist duties Go through training to develop or hone your skills as an assistant at this office Comply with the practices code of conduct and employee manual Help keep surgery rooms, consult rooms, common areas, and front desk area clean Be able to anticipate the doctor's needs for procedures Have the ability to react quickly and safely in emergency situations, with no hesitation or fear Attend training and refresher courses for medical emergencies, and/or CPR Attend practice meetings Take adequate quality periapical, panoramic, and CT x-rays Be able to work well with others We offer a competitive salary with benefits, and a great learning and growing opportunity.
