Surgical First Assistant - Plastic Surgery Per Diem / Part-Time | Santa Monica, CA | In-Person Batal Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced Surgical First Assistant to join our surgical team on a per diem/part-time basis in Santa Monica. We are looking for someone who is confident in the operating room, works well in a fast-paced surgical environment, and can provide hands-on assistance to the surgeon throughout cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures. Previous plastic surgery or cosmetic surgery experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities include:

Assist Dr. Batal and the surgical team during operative procedures, within the individual's permitted scope of practice Support efficient and safe workflow throughout surgical cases Assist with appropriate surgical and clinical tasks based on training, credentials, and authorization Assist with patient preparation and positioning as appropriate Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols Assist with operating room preparation, turnover, and organization Help ensure necessary surgical supplies and equipment are prepared for cases Communicate and collaborate closely with Dr. Batal and the clinical team throughout the surgical day Perform additional duties consistent with the individual's education, credentials, licensure/certification, and applicable California requirements

Ideal Candidate:

Prior experience as a Surgical First Assistant Plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, or body contouring experience strongly preferred Comfortable assisting with procedures such as liposuction, tummy tucks, breast surgery, body contouring, facelifts, and other cosmetic procedures Strong understanding of sterile technique and OR protocols Detail-oriented and able to anticipate the surgeon's needs Calm, dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Flexible availability for scheduled surgical days

Compensation:

Pay will be discussed directly with Dr. Batal and will be based on experience, credentials, and surgical background.

Schedule:

Per diem / Part-time. Surgical days scheduled based on case volume.

Location:
