Dearfield Oral Surgery is looking for a motivated, compassionate full-time Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team in Greenwich and Stamford. You'll work directly alongside an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and gain hands-on experience assisting with dental implants, bone grafting, wisdom teeth, surgical extractions, IV sedation, and other advanced procedures. Oral surgery experience is a major plus, but it is not required. If you're an excellent dental assistant with the right attitude, work ethic, and desire to learn, we are willing to train you. As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will play an important role in both surgical procedures and the overall patient experience.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting with dental implants, bone grafting, surgical extractions, wisdom teeth removal, and other oral surgical procedures Preparing treatment rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and materials Maintaining proper sterile technique and infection-control protocols Assisting with patients undergoing IV sedation and general anesthesia Monitoring and supporting patients before, during, and after surgical procedures Taking digital X-rays and CBCT imaging Providing patients and families with pre-operative and post-operative instructions Maintaining accurate clinical documentation Cleaning, sterilizing, and organizing instruments and surgical areas Helping maintain an efficient clinical flow throughout the day Working closely with the surgeon and other team members to provide an exceptional patient experience We are looking for someone who is: Dependable, responsible, and punctual Warm and compassionate with patients Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment Detail-oriented and highly organized Able to anticipate what is needed and work effectively as part of a team Interested in learning and developing new clinical skills Comfortable with surgery and surgical procedures Able to travel between our Greenwich and Stamford offices No specific dental assisting certification is required.
