The ideal candidate is confident in a surgical environment, provides exceptional patient care, and works well as part of a fast-paced clinical team. Responsibilities
- Assist the oral surgeon during surgical and clinical procedures
- Prepare surgical rooms, instruments, equipment, and materials
- Assist with patient preparation before procedures
- Monitor and support patients during treatment and recovery
- Provide attentive postoperative care and patient instructions
- Take and process dental radiographs and clinical images
- Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control protocols
- Clean, disinfect, and prepare operatories between patients
- Maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and clinical supplies
- Accurately document clinical information in patient records
- Help maintain an organized, efficient, and professional clinical environment
- Communicate compassionately with patients and help reduce anxiety before and after procedures Qualifications
- Previous oral surgery or surgical assisting experience required
- Strong knowledge of surgical assisting techniques and infection-control procedures
- Experience with dental radiography
- Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures and patient recovery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and professional approach to patient care
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
