Job description Oak Hill Oral and Implant Surgery in Parrish, FL is hiring a part-time Oral Surgery Assistant. You will work chairside with our oral surgeon during extractions, dental implants, bone grafting, and other surgical procedures for adult and pediatric patients. This is a part-time role, about 1-3 clinic days per week. Clinic days run 8:30am-5:00pm. Responsibilities Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, bone grafting, and other oral surgery Set up and break down treatment rooms with the correct instruments and supplies Follow sterile technique and infection-control protocols Take dental X-rays and 3D scans while keeping patients safe and comfortable Record vitals and review medical history before procedures Document care in the practice EMR in compliance with HIPAA Give post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers and answer basic recovery questions Help keep pediatric patients and parents calm before, during, and after surgery Support front-desk needs as needed, including scheduling and chart prep Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Previous dental assisting experience Florida dental radiographer certification, or graduate of a Florida Board-approved dental assisting program Current BLS/CPR Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and chairside assisting Ability to work full clinic days, 8:30am-5:00pm, 1-3 days per week Reliable transportation to Parrish, FL Preferred Oral surgery or surgical assisting experience Experience with implants, extractions, and bone grafting Experience with pediatric dental or surgical patients IV sedation or sedated-patient monitoring experience DAANCE certification Familiarity with DSN Cloud, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar EMR Strong communication skills with patients, parents, and the clinical
