Job Description
We are looking for a reliable Medical Assistant/ LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Assistant to work in the surgical OR room, PACU and/or Pre-Op within an Accredited Surgical Level Two Office for interventional pain procedures in our Venice and Sarasota locations. As a Surgical Assistant, you are directly involved in ensuring that we always deliver focused and empathetic patient care. As a true people person, you thrive in this environment as you greet patients warmly and triage them upon arrival. You prepare them for their procedures, by utilizing sterile prepping technique. You assist the provider in setting up sterile fields, maneuvering C-arm x-ray and creating procedure notes, while maintaining a calming presence for our patients. Schedule varies slightly based on patient schedule, Monday through Friday. You will work under the supervision of a re doctor. Surgical professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding. Clinical days will include triage, vitals, patient phone calls, medication reconciliation, one on one patient care, scheduling, Drug screening, Provider assistance. You will be required to travel in between our Sarasota and our Venice location assisting in our Surgical dept or Clinical department.
