Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated, flexible, willing to travel to 2 offices in close proximity, and is an experienced Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting in oral surgery procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical environment. This position requires a strong foundation in oral surgery knowledge, oral surgery instrumentation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and obtaining medical histories. Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients being treated for oral surgery. Perform chairside assisting during oral surgery procedures and ensure adherence to all sterilization techniques. Utilize practice management for accurate patient documentation and record-keeping. Manage imaging tasks, including X-rays and 3D scanning. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Collaborate with dental receptionists to coordinate patient appointments and manage clinic flow. Provide education to patients regarding pre and post treatment, dental terminology, and answer any questions Support the surgeons and the team by participating in ongoing training and professional development. Qualifications Proven oral surgery assisting experience in a dental clinic setting is required, with familiarity in oral surgery procedures and instrumentation Proficiency in using practice management system. 1-2 years Experience in oral surgery is required. GDA phlebotomy certified a plus and DAANCE certified a plus Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients.
