Rotating Job Summary We are seeking a qualified and experienced Surgical Assistant to join the surgical team at The Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Surgical Assistant will provide support to surgeons and the operating room team during surgical procedures while maintaining a safe, efficient, and professional environment. Prior First Assistant or Surgical Assistant experience is preferred. Responsibilities Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures. Prepare and maintain the operating room and surgical equipment. Provide appropriate surgical assistance as directed by the surgeon. Maintain sterile technique and follow established infection-control procedures. Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals. Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Help ensure surgical procedures are conducted safely and efficiently. Perform other duties related to surgical assistance as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent education and training. Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience . Current certification as a First Assistant, Surgical Assistant, or Assistant in Surgery from one of the following organizations: National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) National Surgical Assistant Association (NSAA) American Board of Surgical Assistants (ABSA) National Assistant at Surgery Council (NASC) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the Healthcare Professional level. Previous First Assistant or Surgical Assistant experience preferred. Ability to work a rotating full-time schedule. Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail. #4001

Pay:

$110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
