A Surgical Assistant assists in operations, under the supervision of surgeons. May, in accordance with state laws, help surgeons to make incisions and close surgical sites, manipulate or remove tissues, implant surgical devices or drains, suction the surgical site, place catheters, clamp or cauterize vessels or tissue, and apply dressings to surgical site.

Job Description
This job will be approximately 25-35 hours per week. Previous experience in the dental, medical or surgical field preferred but not required. This position will require dedication and an interest in expanding your knowledge base in anesthesia and will involve continuing education coursework which will be provided by the employer. Must be reliable. Hours worked are 7:30am -4:30pm. Pay based on experience.
