JOB HOURS
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
POSITION SUMMARY
The Surgical Assistant performs a variety of dental assisting duties while promoting a safe and sterile environment for providing quality dental care. These duties include, but are not limited to: assisting the surgeon; communicating effectively with patients; maintaining equipment and inventory; cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging instruments; and following universal precautions, OSHA requirements, and federal and state regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Assisting, suctioning, and passing surgical instrumentation Collecting medical history and consulting patients regarding post operative instructions Taking radiographs (FMX, CBCT) Entering data into an electronic practice management software Sterilization and set-up of instruments and operatories Coordinate patient/schedule flow.
DESIRED SKILLS
Minimum two years' experience in general or specialty dentistry CDA certification preferred X-Ray certification required Basic computer/software knowledge Detail-oriented and process-driven
WORKING CONDITIONS
