The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a medical office, preferably with surgical scheduling or procedure coordination. Responsibilities Assist with scheduling surgical procedures and coordinating with hospitals and surgical facilities Communicate with patients regarding surgery dates, instructions, and required documentation Obtain insurance authorizations and verify benefits when needed Coordinate pre-operative testing, medical clearances, and necessary paperwork Communicate with physicians, clinical staff, hospitals, and patients Maintain accurate patient records and follow up on outstanding requirements Assist the Surgical Coordinator with daily administrative tasks Help ensure all surgical cases are properly prepared and scheduled on time Experience Previous experience in a medical office Surgical scheduling/coordinator experience strongly preferred OB/GYN experience is a plus Familiarity with EMR systems; Athena experience is a plus Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced medical practice and manage multiple priorities We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable communicating with both patients and healthcare professionals.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:
