Job Description
Our Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) at JourneyLite of Cincinnati is on the GROW! We are looking for PRN people to assist in the OR. This is for day shift, Monday- Friday. We work hard and love what we do! Care in the Operating Room for Laparoscopic, Bariatric, Plastic, and General Surgery patients. Duties and Responsibilities Effectively organizes time, equipment, supplies, and personnel Uses equipment effectively by anticipating patient and surgeon needs and providing appropriate care Confirms that proper techniques and procedures are used according to accepted standards of practice Assists in inventory of supplies, drugs, and equipment to maintain availability and stock levels in the pre/post-operative, procedure and operating rooms, and PACU areas Maintains order and cleanliness of the entire ASC Assists in assessing the physical and emotional status of the patient Provides comfort and reassurance to the patient and supports the patient's right to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality Circulates/Scrubs in the Operating Room Assists anesthesia in ensuring they have the proper supplies and drugs. Remains prepared for emergency situations by knowing correct emergency procedures and location of emergency supplies and equipment Effectively follows scope of practice and AORN guidelines Laparoscopic and General surgery skills highly preferred Journeylite is a small surgery center with a stable staff of hard working professionals.
