We are a private practice with one doctor, and one location. Dental assisting experience and current x-ray license is

Oral surgery assisting experience is preferred, but not required This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to join a supportive team and willing to learn new skills. We're searching for a Surgical Assistant who wants to join a truly patient-centered surgical team, while at the same time provide exceptional patient care. In this highly collaborative role, you will ensure our patients are comfortable , prepared for treatment as well as serve as a valuable resource to our practice's surgeon during a variety of treatment procedures. Dental implant familiarity is preferred, but not required.
Duties include:
Consistent professionalism in appearance and attitude. Radiology certification required. Operate X-ray and 3D scanning equipment for diagnostic purposes. Patient case coordination, prepare patient charts, recording treatment plans and updating dental/medical records. Ability to work well in a team and individually. Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in accordance with infection control and biohazard protocols. Prepare patients for surgery and monitoring during procedures. Assist the surgeon with all chairside procedures including, but not limited to , operatory setup, anesthesia administration and cleanup. Provide patients with information on oral health care, treatment plans, and postoperative instructions. Assist with other tasks as assigned. Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Advanced knowledge with WIN OMS ideal. DAANCE Certification ideal (but not necessary) Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 00 - 5:00 p.m. F 8-2 p.m. No nights or weekends. No on call. Paid Holidays, Personal Days, Quarterly Bonuses, Medical Insurance and 401(k) available. Yearly Scrub Allowance Hourly rate determined on experience ($23.00 - $24.00)
