Oklahoma City, OK Job Details 23 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description We are a multi-surgeon, multi-location Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice serving patients throughout the Oklahoma City area. Our assistants work directly alongside our surgeons and play an important role in creating a safe, efficient and comfortable experience for our patients. Candidates with experience as a Dental Assistant, LPN or Surgical Technologist are encouraged to apply. Previous oral surgery experience is a plus, but we are also interested in strong clinical candidates who are comfortable in a surgical setting and eager to learn. As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will support our surgeons and patients throughout the surgical experience.Responsibilities include:
Assist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons during procedures Prepare surgical rooms, instruments and procedure trays Assist with patient preparation before surgery Monitor and assist patients throughout the recovery process Clean, disinfect and turn over surgical rooms between patients Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment Maintain appropriate infection-control and safety standards Help keep the clinical day organized, efficient and patient-focused Work collaboratively with surgeons, clinical staff and administrative team members Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Dental assisting, LPN, surgical technology or comparable clinical experience Associate degree preferred CPR certification preferred ACLS certification preferred DAANCE certification is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Dependability and attention to detail Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment A professional, compassionate approach to patient care We offer a competitive benefits package that includes: Medical insurance Dental benefits 401(k) Paid time off Paid major holidays Employee bonus program Monday through Friday Day shift No weekends or holidays Our clinical team works hard, but we also believe the people you work with matter.
