Job Summary South Carolina Oral Surgery & Implant Center, formerly Northeast Oral Surgery & Implant Center, is seeking an experienced Oral Surgery Assistant to join our clinical team. We are looking for a dependable, skilled assistant who is comfortable in a surgical environment and takes pride in providing excellent patient care. Pay up to $28/hour for fully qualified and experienced candidates. This position supports our Northeast Columbia and Camden locations. Candidates must be available to work at both offices as needed. Responsibilities Assist the surgeon during oral surgery procedures Prepare surgical rooms, instruments, medications, and equipment Assist with IV sedation/general anesthesia procedures and patient monitoring Obtain and document patient health histories, medications, and vital signs Take dental imaging and assist with digital/3D scanning Assist with extractions, wisdom teeth, dental implants, bone grafting, and other oral surgery procedures Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient care Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection-control standards Turn over and restock surgical rooms Maintain accurate clinical documentation Work closely with doctors and team members to keep the surgical schedule running efficiently Qualifications Dental assisting experience required Oral surgery experience strongly preferred Experience with IV sedation/general anesthesia is a plus Dental X-ray certification preferred CPR/BLS certification preferred Strong communication and patient-care skills Dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced surgical environment Must be willing and able to work at both our Northeast Columbia and Camden locations Compensation Up to $28.00 per hour for fully qualified, experienced dental/oral surgery assistants. Final compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and surgical assisting skills.
