May, in accordance with state laws, help surgeons to make incisions and close surgical sites, manipulate or remove tissues, implant surgical devices or drains, suction the surgical site, place catheters, clamp or cauterize vessels or tissue, and apply dressings to surgical site.

ABOUT THE UNIT
At Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC), our Surgical Services Department is the region's largest referral center, offering advanced robotic-assisted surgeries and a recently upgraded hybrid operating suite. We provide a wide range of surgical specialties, including breast, cosmetic, ENT (ear, nose and throat), general, gynecology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, oral surgery and orthopedics. The PACU is equipped to handle immediate postoperative care, focusing on patient safety and comfort during recovery from anesthesia. Our Sterile Processing Department ensures that all surgical instruments and equipment meet the highest standards of sterility and readiness, playing a crucial role in infection control and patient safety. We pride ourselves on offering progressive and comprehensive surgical experience, supported by a dedicated team and state-of-the-art facilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Current Surgical Technologist Certification with First Assist Required
  • 1 Year of Certified Surgical Tech Experience Preferred
