Texas Tech University Department of Surgery is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible surgical oncologist for an open-rank faculty position with clinical, research, and teaching responsibilities. The successful candidate will have a primary clinical focus in endocrine, breast, and soft tissue surgery , contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care. The division of surgical oncology at TTUHSC is expanding due to higher volumes and you have an opportunity to be a part of that growth. You will join a group of cancer subspecialists including CGSO, hepatobiliary, breast, and colorectal-trained surgeons. Major/Essential Functions Provide high-quality, patient-centered surgical care in endocrine, breast, and soft tissue oncology. Participate actively in the multidisciplinary management of complex cancer cases. Participate in departmental and institutional service activities. Engage in academic research, with opportunities for basic, translational, or clinical research. Contribute to medical student, resident, and fellow education and mentorship. Occasional Duties Required Qualifications MD/DO/MBBS/MBBCh. Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3. ABMS Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery. Completion of, or in the process of completing, a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology, Endocrine Surgery or relevant subspecialty.
