Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Contribute your expertise in surgical technology and perioperative care in a dynamic healthcare environment dedicated to excellence in patient outcomes. This contract opportunity seeks individuals with experience and training in Nursing - Operating Room Technician (ORT) and Surgical Technology (both Non-certified and Certified). Your ability to ensure the smooth functioning of the operating suite will be highly valued in supporting surgical teams and delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as an ORT, Surgical Technologist (Certified or Non-certified) Sound knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation Proficiency in preparing operating rooms, including equipment and supply management Proven ability to anticipate surgical team needs and problem-solve under pressure Understanding of sterile field protocols and patient safety standards Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Valid credentials as required for your scope of experience
Core Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of operating rooms and arrangement of surgical instruments and supplies Support surgeons and nurses during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field Ensure instrument and equipment sterilization, functioning, and proper set-up Monitor patient safety and handle specimens as directed by surgical staff Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to facility policies and protocols Contribute to post-operative clean-up and inventory assessments This is a contract position offering an immediate opportunity to make a meaningful impact alongside a dedicated perioperative team.
