Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting surgical teams by providing exceptional patient care and technical expertise. This contract opportunity is designed for passionate professionals skilled in the operating room environment. You'll work alongside surgeons, nurses, and other OR staff to ensure surgical procedures are efficient, safe, and successful.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Experience as a Nursing Assistant in the operating room setting preferred Certified and non-certified Surgical Technologists are encouraged to apply Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and demonstrate a solid understanding of OR procedures Proficiency with surgical instruments, supplies, and sterile processing Current BLS certification required Strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
Schedule/Hours:
Shifts and hours vary according to department needs. Flexibility and reliability are essential.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures and confirm equipment is functioning properly Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient care Accurately handle surgical instruments and supplies throughout procedures Maintain sterile techniques and follow infection control protocols Support the surgical team during operations by anticipating instruments and supplies needed Collaborate closely with nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare staff Ensure proper documentation and accountability for count of instruments and supplies
