1 Description American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center's Vascular Service line, requiring strong trauma and vascular surgery experience. Details 12-hour day shift schedule, 36 hours per week, primarily Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Vascular Service line within a Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center facility 15-bed surgery unit with 1:1 patient ratios Minimal pediatric caseload, typically orthopedic Cases include trauma (no burns), neuro, general, vascular (including endovascular), ENT, ortho spine, gyn, urology, robotics, plastics, breast, and eye surgeries Vascular Tech role requires competency in AAA, carotids, AVG, AVF, fem-fem bypass, and aorta bi-fem procedures CVOR experience needed only if supporting open heart cases No floating required Uses Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors On-call rotation required for all service lines except Open Heart, one weekday (3p-7a) and one weekend per month (Friday 3p-Monday 7a) Expected to work one holiday per contract Requirements Strong experience in trauma, neuro, general, vascular, ENT, ortho spine, gyn, urology, plastics, breast, and eye surgery required Robotics experience (Mazor or DaVinci XI) strongly preferred Endovascular experience preferred for Vascular Tech positions Minimum 2 years of experience required for first-time travelers Certification preferred but not required License required if applicable Cerner EMR experience preferred Additional Information Work alongside ORA, desk assistants, FA's, charge nurses, and team leaders for various service lines Orientation consists of two weeks on day shift, with buddy call expected during this period Green scrubs provided by facility Parking available in a designated deck Time off requests must be approved by the unit manager Radius rule requires candidates to live outside 60 miles of the facility to be eligible for the position Former staff members must wait six months before being considered for a travel assignment
