1 Description American Traveler seeks a CVOR Scrub Tech with 2-3 years of CVOR experience for a Level II Trauma Center's dedicated cardiovascular surgery rooms. Details Level II Trauma Center, Level III NICU, and Primary Stroke Center with 492 total beds Surgery unit with 15 total OR rooms including 2 dedicated CV rooms Patient population includes open heart, CABG, TAVR, AVR, MVR, sternotomy, thoracotomy/thoracoscopy, VATS, and ECMO cases 1:1 patient ratio Uses Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors 10-hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday starting at 6:00AM, plus call No floating required On-call rotation of 10-12 days per month including weekend rotation Requirements 2-3 years of CVOR experience required Experience with open heart, CABG, TAVR, AVR, MVR, sternotomy, thoracotomy/thoracoscopy, VATS, and ECMO cases required BLS certification preferred, not required License required if applicable Additional Information First-time travelers considered with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience Unit support includes ORA, desk assistant, some FAs, charge nurse, and service line team leaders 2-week orientation on day shift, with buddy call expected during orientation Expected to work one holiday per contract Time off requests go through the manager Green scrubs provided Parking available in a parking deck Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility Former staff must wait 6 months before being considered as a traveler
