Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic surgical environment, working collaboratively within a Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. This opportunity is ideal for experienced Surgical Technologists or Operating Room Technicians ready to apply highly developed skills in a fast-paced, advanced setting.
Schedule:
12-hour night shifts, 6:30pm-6:30am Friday, Saturday, Sunday Contract opportunity
Desired Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' recent surgical technology or ORT experience (not accepting candidates with only 1 year) Certification as a Surgical Tech preferred but not required Strong background in Trauma (non-burn), Neuro, General, Vascular, ENT, Gyn, Urology, Plastics, Breast, Eyes, and Robotics (Mazor/DaVinci XI especially valued) CVOR/Open Heart experience a plus but not required for general ORT Robotics experience strongly preferred Excellent competency in using Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Spacelabs monitors Willingness to take call per service line schedule and work one holiday per contract
Responsibilities:
Scrub and assist during advanced surgical procedures in trauma, neuro, vascular, general, and specialty cases Maintain 1:1 patient ratios to ensure safety and optimal surgical outcomes Anticipate surgeon needs and coordinate with the surgical team for smooth operative flow Participate in a structured two-week orientation, followed by active on-call duties Collaborate with supporting unit staff, including desk assistants, ORAs, FAs, charge nurses, and team leaders Adhere to all procedural and infection control protocols in a 492-bed facility

Apply today for consideration! $1,462 - $1,591/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates.
