Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced surgical team member with expertise in Operating Room Technology, whether non-certified or certified as a Surgical Technologist. In this dynamic healthcare environment, your technical skills and attention to patient safety will directly impact positive surgical outcomes and patient well-being.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist (certified or non-certified), or in Operating Room Technology Solid understanding of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical setting Strong communication and collaboration skills with surgeons, nurses, and support staff Demonstrated reliability and commitment to quality patient care Current compliance with healthcare facility immunization requirements and health screenings
Responsibilities:
Assist surgical teams throughout procedures, ensuring all instruments and supplies are readily available and sterile Prepare operating rooms before surgical interventions, including equipment setup and sterile field creation Maintain accurate count of sponges, needles, and instruments during procedures Actively anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly during surgeries Support post-operative room turnover and instrument processing Contribute to a safe, organized, and smooth-flowing surgical environment Working as a contract professional offers the chance to broaden your experience within a reputable surgical department, collaborate with skilled clinical teams, and develop a rewarding, patient-centered skillset.
