Surgical Technologist Arkansas Dermatology - 3.5 Little Rock, AR Job Details Full-time 4 hours ago Qualifications Surgery Wound care Full Job Description Looking for a motivated, quick learning Surgical Technologist or surgical nurse to excel in a clinical surgical setting. Will assist in outpatient procedures in a high volume dermatology clinic. Need a talented assistant capable of identifying doctor's needs during surgeries, to facilitate the flow of patients, and assist with surgeries and procedures. No call or weekends. The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive: Serve as a patient advocate during patient exams and treatment. Recording medical history and confirming the purpose of the visit. Ensure proper documentation is obtained prior to preparing the patient for treatment. Prepares patients for examination or surgery. Help providers examine and treat patients. Many hands-on elements such as blood draws, injections, wound care, and assisting during procedures are a requirement for this position. HIPAA compliance and safe OSHA practices. Practice teamwork, service, and respect for coworkers and patients. Maintain accurate electronic charts in EHR. Patient Education. Returning patient phone calls. Under provider direction, authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies. Collecting, documenting, and delivering lab specimens.
Medical Assistant/ Nurse Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients. Organization. Possess a strong work ethic and high level of professionalism. Confidentiality. Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards patients. Willingness to learn new skills.
