Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and arranging surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies in accordance with aseptic techniques. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies promptly and accurately. Monitor patient vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate throughout surgeries to ensure stability. Collect and document data related to patient care, including medical history, anesthesia records, and intraoperative details using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Maintain strict infection prevention standards by sterilizing medical equipment and adhering to hospital infection control policies. Support the handling of trauma cases by assisting with treatment of fractures, trauma care procedures, and emergency interventions in Level I or Level II trauma centers. Assist with specialized surgeries such as cardiovascular, neurosurgery, orthopedic, or pediatric procedures by understanding relevant anatomy and physiology. Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently while troubleshooting technical issues as needed. Ensure all surgical instruments are properly maintained, accounted for before and after procedures, and sterilized according to hospital protocols. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care in critical care settings such as ICU or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit). Experience Proven experience working as a Surgical Technologist in hospital environments with exposure to various surgical specialties including trauma, cardiovascular surgery assistance, neurosurgery, orthopedics, pediatrics or endoscopy. Demonstrated ability to assist in high-pressure situations such as Level I Trauma Centers or emergency surgeries with confidence and precision. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and surgical procedures across multiple disciplines. Hands-on experience with medical equipment operation and sterilization techniques essential for maintaining aseptic environments. Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient data and surgical records. Critical care experience in ICU or acute care settings is highly desirable for supporting complex patient needs during surgery. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are advantageous. Excellent analysis skills for assessing patient status during surgery and responding swiftly to emergent situations while maintaining safety standards.
